Warranty Policy

  1. 36 Month or 36,000 Mile Limited Nationwide Warranty
    1. All products or items used to repair your vehicle are new unless otherwise specified. Used parts have NO WARRANTY unless otherwise specified. Please ask a service advisor for details.
    2. During the Nationwide Limited Warranty period, if vehicle is within 25 miles of Car Smart Auto Service, it is the customer’s responsibility to return vehicle to Car Smart Auto Service for warranty repair. If vehicle is more than 25 miles away from Car Smart Auto Service​, please call 1-877-367-6144 and you will be directed to the closest repair facility to perform said warranty repairs.
    3. Warranty covers parts and labor performed by Car Smart Auto Service only and warranty does not include meals, lodging, travel or towing.
    4. The cost of Warranty repairs shall not exceed the original invoice amount at the time repairs were made (value of the original purchase).
    5. Warranty is void if odometer is non-operational. Warranty also void if parts installed or repaired by Car Smart Auto Service are removed or repaired by others outside of warranty network. There is no warranty on customer-supplied parts.
    6. Warranty is non-transferable.
    7. Warranty will not cover failure due to normal wear. Warranty is defined as premature failure due to improper installation or defect and excludes friction wear items.
    8. In order to maintain warranty, customer is responsible to monitor oil and temperature gauges while driving vehicle and check levels of coolant mixture, oil and transmission fluid regularly. If secondary damage is caused due to customer negligence, Car Smart Auto Service will not be held liable.
    9. Fleet or Commercial Vehicle Warranty includes 36 month or 36,000 mile, In-House Warranty only. Nationwide coverage does not apply.
  2. Limited Tire Warranty:
    1.  If you are within 25 miles of the location in which you originally purchased the tires and the tire warranty plan, you must return your vehicle and the damaged tire(s) to that location. If you are further than 25 miles from the original place of purchase, you may call the warranty administrator at 800-351-8565 for assistance in finding a location capable of servicing your vehicle in the area. You may also find your own servicing location and have them call the warranty administrator to process a claim. If the location is unable or unwilling to work with the warranty administrator, you may pay for the warranty service and submit the invoice for reimbursement.
    2. You must present this Registration Certificate along with your original invoice identifying the purchase of the tires and the tire warranty plan.
    3.  A record indicating the tire received proper care and maintenance, as prescribed by the tire and vehicle manufacturers. A form is included on this plan that your servicing dealer may use to document that such care was provided.
    4.  The damaged tire must be made available for inspection by the Dealer and/or the program administrator.
    5.  All claims must be submitted within 60 days of the date the damage was incurred. If you are unable to provide the information listed above, this warranty shall be void.
    The following vehicles are not eligible for coverage: Vehicles with a manufacturer’s load rating capacity of 1 ton or greater or a GVWR of greater than 8850 lbs., any emergency service vehicle or any vehicle used for hire, towing, construction or postal service. Any vehicle used for farm, ranch, agricultural or off-road service. Coverage excludes damage from off-road use (off-road use is defined as driving on anything other than a paved or gravel road maintained by state or local authority). Coverage excludes damage from collision, fire, vandalism, theft, snow chains, manufacturer’s defects, abuse and neglect (i.e., improper application, improper inflation, brake lock up, wheel spinning, torque snags, etc.). Also excluded are damages resulting from mechanical failures (i.e., failed shocks, struts, alignment, etc.) or interference with vehicle components (i.e., fenders, exhaust, springs, etc.). Also excluded are any tires that have been retreaded, recapped, regrooved, remolded, tubed or repaired in a manner other than per manufacturer’s guidelines. This plan covers only the tires registered to the customer and listed by DOT number on the original invoice or warranty certificate. CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential and incidental damages, therefore, such limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. No expressed guarantees given other than that stated herein. This service plan gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights which vary from state to state. You may return the invoice to the selling dealer within 10 business days of purchase for a full refund of the amount paid for this road hazard plan.​

    Road Hazard: If a tire covered by this plan becomes unserviceable because of a road hazard during the warranty period, it will be replaced with a new tire. If available, an exact make/model replacement tire will be installed. If not available, a comparable quality tire will be installed. When the tire failure occurs in the first 25% of useable tread wear, and if, in the opinion of the servicing facility, the tire cannot be safely repaired per manufacturer’s guidelines, the tire will be replaced with coverage up to 100% of the original selling price of the tire. After the first 25% of tread wear, you will be charged for the consumed useable tread wear on the original tire, times the original selling price of the tire. You will be responsible for any taxes, mounting, balancing and any other miscellaneous fees. When the tread is worn down to 2/32” (to the tread wear indicators) the tire is considered worn out and is not eligible for road hazard adjustment. If you want road hazard coverage on the replacement tire, you must purchase a new plan for that tire.​
    Tread wear: If the tire tread wears out prior to the warranted miles, the tire will be replaced on a prorated basis. Proration will be calculated against the original purchase price, based on the elapsed miles, as it relates to the warranted miles. Tread wear warranty not applicable to Ultra High Performance (V Rated and above) and Light Truck (LT) rated tires. Excludes tires prematurely worn due to misalignment, worn or defective suspension parts, over or under inflation or lack of rotation​.
  3. Customer agrees that no articles of personal property have been left in the vehicle and Car Smart Auto Service is not responsible for inspection thereof.
  4. Customer is hereby notified that Car Smart Auto Service will not be held liable for loss of said property caused by theft, fire or vandalism while the property remains with Car Smart Auto Service .
  5. Car Smart Auto Service is not responsible for unavailability of parts or delays in parts shipment beyond Car Smart Auto Service control.
  6. Due to the type of service requested, some repairs must be sublet and I authorize in advance for such said repairs if needed.
  7. All charges for repairs, including labor and materials furnished, are due and payable simultaneously with the delivery of the within described vehicle or prior to delivery upon expiration of three (3) days after notice that the repairs have been completed.
  8. If the vehicle described herein is not called for within three (3) days after such notice is given, a storage charge of $45 per day will be made for each day thereafter.
  9. Car Smart Auto Service is authorized to deliver the vehicle described herein or any of its contents to any person presenting this receipt.
  10. In addition to any and all other legal remedies available, I authorize Car Smart Auto Service to have a lien on the vehicle described herein for all charges for repairs, including labor and parts, storage and/or towing, and to enforce such lien Car Smart Auto Service is hereby expressly authorized to sell said vehicle pursuant to the lien sale laws.
  11. Said expenses for sale shall also include a reasonable attorney's fee, which may be necessarily incurred.
  12. If any of such charges remain unpaid for thirty (30) days after such request for payment, Car Smart Auto Service may also refer such charges to its attorneys for collection and the customer will pay a reasonable attorney’s fee.
  13. Information provided such as mailing address, phone numbers and email addresses will not be sold but kept exclusively for but not limited to record keeping, follow up service remainders and promotions. By signing this form I authorize Car Smart Auto Service for such use.
